Do You Have Childcare? Yes, the best!
At The River, we call them X-Stream Kidz! Our Children's Ministry provides excellent childcare and ministry to infants through 6th grade! Our Nursery, called "Precious Puddles" is safe, clean, and well staffed. Our 3 and 4 year olds are called "Splash Zone." "The Rapids" include K-4th grade and "The Falls" include the 5th-6th grades. All of these ministries are leading up to our 7-12th grade Youth Ministry that meets every Wednesday night at our Ministry Center at 6322 Ramsey Street for teen led worship and Bible study to prepare them to face the challenges in school, home and relationships. Our Youth Ministry is regularly involved in Missions, Random Acts of Kindness, Youth Activities, Concerts, Retreats and Big Youth Events to name a few. We want to keep them passionately engaged with the body of Christ so they don't become part of the 75% of teenagers in America who leave the church after age 18, never to return. We are striving to turn this around.
We celebrate children at The River, come see for yourself. This is a fun, exciting and creative ministry that teaches biblical truth and charater on a child's level. The kids love it and want to "come back for more!" Our X-Stream Kidz also learn music and drama and periodically lead our Sunday Morning Worship Service through musicals!
What’s Your Denomination? We are a conservative Bible-believing Southern Baptist Church that is committed to reaching a generation that has been left behind by most traditional churches. We are more concerned about people having a relationship with God than with wearing the right denominational label. The River is committed to doing missions across the street and around the world.
